The Eucharistic Doctrine of St John of the Cross and Mother Mectilde of the Blessed Sacrament
St John of the Cross is known as the Mystical Doctor of the Church, and he often ascends to heights that are difficult to understand. The teaching of Mother Mectilde de Bar of the Blessed Sacrament, foundress of the Benedictines of Perpetual Adoration, provides a lens through which St John of the Cross’s teaching becomes available to us and applicable to our lives. Study these two great mystics of the Church and their Eucharistic doctrine, and come away transformed by and oriented towards our Eucharistic Lord.
