How do your donations help?

As a community whose primary work is prayer seven times in the day and once at night, and to spend ample time in adoration, we rely heavily upon the generosity of our benefactors. Your donations go towards everything from small to large. They help to keep the candles lit before Our Lord, to feed the monks, to repair our buildings (which are quite old), and, please God, in time to develop our grounds.

How much does it cost to support a monk?

Each monks’ living expenses for the year are around €30,000. However, there are additional costs around the monastery that make running costs closer to €40,000. That means, for a community of our size, we typically are looking at yearly expenditures around €500-600K.

Are there brothers in priestly formation that need support?

Yes! We have several brothers who are in studies, and each year it costs around €3000 to support one of them in their studies. Why not consider supporting them!

Are there any big projects planned?

Our monastery has many major renovations that are needed. We have rather old buildings that require improvements and constant care, and our space is quite limited. Our oratory can only fit around 20 monks and 20 lay faithful. Moreover, our guesthouse currently has a maximum occupancy of six guests, and we would hope to host more than that. Our own living quarters are also in need of growth, and we are aiming to earn more of our own income using produce from our land, but this involves capital costs. So yes, there are many plans ahead!

What would help the monastery most?

First of all, every donation matters! That being said, our greatest need at the moment is sustainability. Regular donations keep our life going here and make up for what we cannot provide for ourselves. If you are able to give regularly, regardless of the amount, you would be supporting our mission for the Church in a tremendous way.
