Welcome to our donation page for friends and benefactors in the United States! To help your giving experience, here are a few notes about the ways to donate. At the bottom of the page, you can also find a few FAQs about what your donations go to support.

Donations can be made via

  1. Credit/Debit Card: click the blue “Give” button hovering on the side of your screen to enter our charitable foundation’s giving flow. There you will be able to make single or recurring donations.

  2. PayPal: click the button at the bottom of this page to make single or recurring donations through PayPal.

  3. Check: payable to “The Monastery of Our Lady of the Cenacle Foundation” (or shorten it to “MOLC Foundation”) to be sent to: Monastery of Our Lady of the Cenacle Foundation, 20315 South Hwy. 75, Mounds, OK 74047

  4. Wire: You can also wire a donation into the Foundation’s account. For questions about this, please send a note to Deacon Greg Stice (dcn.stice@gmail.com).

A quick reminder: The Monastery of Our Lady of the Cenacle Foundation does not refer to a different monastery in America, but to the charitable organization in the U.S. that collects and forwards donations to Silverstream Priory in Ireland. It is a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation organized under the laws of the State of Oklahoma.

If you would like to include our monastery in your will, visit the monastery’s page at MyCatholicWill.

Notice: We are currently unable to accept stipends for Mass intentions and will have to return any funds given as such. God bless!

How do your donations help?

As a community whose primary work is prayer seven times in the day and once at night, and to spend ample time in adoration, we rely heavily upon the generosity of our benefactors. Your donations go towards everything from small to large. They help to keep the candles lit before Our Lord, to feed the monks, to repair our buildings (which are quite old), and, please God, in time to develop our grounds.

How much does it cost to support a monk?

Each monks’ living expenses for the year are around $35,000. However, there are additional costs around the monastery that make running costs closer to $50,000. That means, for a community of our size, we typically are looking at yearly expenditures around €600-700K.

Are there brothers in priestly formation that need support?

Yes! We have several brothers who are in studies, and each year it costs around €3000 to support one of them in their studies. Why not consider supporting them!

Are there any big projects planned?

Our monastery has many major renovations that are needed. We have rather old buildings that require improvements and constant care, and our space is quite limited. Our oratory can only fit around 20 monks and 20 lay faithful. Moreover, our guesthouse currently has a maximum occupancy of six guests, and we would hope to host more than that. Our own living quarters are also in need of growth, and we are aiming to earn more of our own income using produce from our land, but this involves capital costs. So yes, there are many plans ahead!

What would help the monastery most?

First of all, every donation matters! That being said, our greatest need at the moment is sustainability. Regular donations keep our life going here and make up for what we cannot provide for ourselves. If you are able to give regularly, regardless of the amount, you would be supporting our mission for the Church in a tremendous way.
